BOQ council will soon be voting on weather or not to ban the wearing of Crocs and Moccasins in the Borough. Council spokeswoman Edna Frugels said “We haven’t gone about this half cocked we engaged a $5000 a day consultant Roger Conthem to work for three weeks collating both local and national data, talking with realestate agents and community groups and it was his definitive conclusion that these types of footwear significantly decreased property value in areas that they were worn. Roger said “ look I know you think maybe you can sneak down to the IGA at 7:30pm in your moccasins or ugg boots to get a cheeky bottle of Sav Blanc and nobody will see you but they will and it’s very damaging to both you and the local community as a whole, as for Crocs in some countries people are being put into re-education camps as the wearing of Crocs is seen as a serious mental health issue.”
